Leslie Gaduzo - Artist Biography

Leslie's interest in art began as a young child. Fascinated by the lives of Michelangelo and Leonardo DaVinci, he discovered how as young men they had progressed from being painters to sculptors and ultimately to being Architects. He was captivated by this romantic vision. The potential for artistic expression in painting, sculpture and architecture seemed limitless, an ideal platform in which to combine visual, sculptural and practical composition.

Excelling at art in school during his childhood, in 1984 he attained the required college entry grades and I enrolled in a three year Honours Degree course in Architecture and then a two year post graduate course in Huddersfield Polytechnic.

Returning to Gibraltar in June 1990, he began a career in architecture but continued to draw almost weekly at Life Drawing sessions.

In January 2014 after receiving commissions on a regular basis during the previous few years , he made the decision to pursue art on a full time basis.
